Just came back from movie with bb, mag, Andrey, Brandon, Lydia, Clement and Estifania..We caught Inception at Ang Mo Kio last min with nothing on our mind wat to do next..

Great movie!! Great ending and great performance by Leonardo.. Full of imagination..A psychological thriller..Story is more layered, the best Sci-Fi movie in years! You should not miss this one!

The film opens with Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) unconscious on a beach. He is found by an armed guard and brought into the chamber of an elderly man, who speaks to him cryptically. Cobb is carrying a small metal totem and a gun with him.

The plot cuts back to reveal a crime inside a dream, performed by Cobb and his team, including a point man, Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and an architect named Nash (Lukas Haas) who crafts and maintains the balance of the dream world. They are inside the mind of Saito (Ken Watanabe), who, unknown to them, is aware of their deception and is auditioning them for his own crime.

The rules of the dream world are explained: if an individual is hurt in the dream world, they will experience pain in a very real sense. But if they die in the dream, they will merely wake up.

The team and Saito are brought back to the real world (in Japan), where they are joined by a mysterious device in a briefcase that injects compounds into their systems, lulling them into a shared dream experience. The team escapes with the appearance of having eluded capture by Saito, but Cobb and Arthur are confronted by Saito when attempting to leave the country. Saito convinces Cobb to take the job of inception (the implantation of a thought within a person's mind) by offering him a way to go home to his children.

Cobb recruits Eames (Tom Hardy), a forger who can shift his identity inside a dream, as well as a new architect named Ariadne (Ellen Page), a student who appears to be all but a prodigy at constructing dreams. While Ariadne trains inside Cobb's mind, she sees and slowly comes to understand what is haunting him: a vision of his deceased wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) that continuously disrupts his dream world.

The team's target for inception is Robert Fischer Jr. (Cillian Murphy), son of a late corporate rival. The idea is a complex emotional suggestion that will ultimately lead Fischer to disband his father's empire. To achieve their goal, Cobb's team will have to pass down through several levels, each a dream within the last. Time slows down with each level, as in five minutes of real time would equal an hour in the first dream, 10 hours in the next, and so on.

Because of the drugs used and the depth of the dreams there is state of limbo that will be entered if a person dies within this particular dream experience. The time within limbo is compounded so drastically that even a few moments of real time could seem to be decades.

We learn that Cobb and Mal spent many years in the limbo state, before coming back to reality as their younger original selves. They clung to totems, tiny objects carried to remind the dreamer of their state. Mal's totem (which is now carried by Cobb) was in the opening scene and appears frequently. He suggests that in his dreams, it spins indefinitely.

Mal suffered a psychological breakdown after waking from limbo, convinced that the real world was still to come after her death. She leapt out a window with Cobb watching but unable to intervene, leaving the police a letter indicating her depression, and his supposed guilt. Cobb subsequently fled the country.

The team boards a Boeing 747 transporting Fischer, drugging him without his knowledge, and entering into a dream with him. They have help from Yusuf (Dileep Rao), the chemist who developed the compounds specific to the deep dream state they are attempting. Inside the first level, the team locates Fischer and kidnaps him only to be assaulted by a group of mercenaries created by Fischer's trained subconscious. Saito is injured badly, but not allowed to die for fear he would lose his mind within the limbo state. Eames takes the identity of Peter Browning (Tom Berenger), Fischer's godfather, to try and extract information from him. Eventually the team pushes down into the next dream level, while inside a moving van being chased by mercenaries. The second level is a hotel where the team lulls Fischer into their confidence, and convinces him that he must find out why his own right-hand man is turning against him. The third and final level is a mountainous compound where the secret is stored, and Fischer must break in to find it.

During the attempt to break in, Fischer is killed by Cobb's projection of his dead wife, and is lost into the limbo state. Cobb and Ariadne follow him down in an attempt to salvage the mission. They are confronted by Mal, and it is revealed that Cobb knew an inception was possible because he planted the idea that the world Mal was in was fake, causing her to leave limbo in the first place. Mal attempts to convince Cobb to stay in limbo, but Ariadne shoots and kills her. Following this, Cobb and Ariadne are able to return Fischer to the mountain compound. When Fischer confronts his father in this dream state, he realizes that his father had wanted him to be his own man and make his own choices. During this time Saito has died, and Cobb remains behind in the limbo state to locate him and bring him back. When Cobb finds Saito he is now an old man, and the context of the opening scene is revealed.

Everyone wakes up, alive and well. As per his deal with the powerful Saito, Cobb is given leeway to re-enter the United States. He is reunited with his children. The final shot shows his totem, in mid-spin, beginning to wobble. The scene then cuts to black, leaving it up the viewer to decide if it's a dream or reality.

Just as i blogged abt the count down to Taiwan last night, we got a call from Jetstar this morning informing us that the flight has changed! 1 day earlier!!

Itinerary has to be change,almost everyone got to apply 1 more day urgent leave which makes them look irresponsible..a few of them actually having difficulties in taking last min leaves.. =/

Things to plan..Accommodation for tomorrow..insurance claim..Bags not packed etc..

Aniwae a blessing in disguise..We got to claim 400 bucks (100 for each 6 consecutive hours delay whilst Overseas or in Singapore) from our insurance! and Hotel for tomorrow! =D but Magdalene on the other side got work commitments so she gotta take the later flight which doesnt entitle her to the extra 400 bucks..=/

Went over night blading over the weekend..BB, Magnum and me were on blades while Brandon, Lydia and Ian were on Bicycle..We started out from East Coast Park all the way to Changi Village..the journey to Changi Village was kinda long as 3 of us were on blades and there are some accidents in between.. We had some food in Changi Village and the 3 bikers cycled back to East Coast Park to return their bicycle in the morning and the bladers took a cab home..haha

Wanted to watch Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince during the weekend but it was all fully booked!! Guess we will watch during the week days.. =)

Next Update..BB bought a New PS 3 in White!! He even bought a cute game so that he can play with me!! Little Big Planet! U can even play with your friends or even ppl in other countries!! U will love the game even you r a guy!! haha.. More games to be soon added to the new PS 3!! =D

An Engineer, a Gymnast, a Slave of the nation, a Waiter, a Bouncer, all of them did not touch the game for several years, some of them even deleted the game from their computer.

They did not expect to win in the 2nd round, meeting XQR (Last year Champion for WCG 2008), but miracle happened when RageFaction trash Team ExsequoR. Then after that the rest are history. Luck is not with them on the last day. They only manage to secure the runner up position. Oh well..We din expect them to go so far..although you guys did not get the gold medal, but all of you still did very well with ZERO trainings.

Congrats guys on getting 2nd placing in WCG.. You guys has reassured the capability of Rf despite being inactive in the gaming scene.

Finally caught this movie after delayed for several days after its first opening! Its nice! Nicer than part 1 i feel..although there are some comments abt the plot is bad etc..but 8 bucks for a 2.5 hour movie, watching our child-hood hero with lotsa graphics and actions plus the cute actor and pretty actress, i feel its definitely worth watching!!go catch it if you have not watch!

When to a new shopping centre at Bugis, Filmgarde Cineplex, Iluma to watch Shinjuku Incident with bb, Chin Heng, Xiong Xiong, Mag, HanJoo, Brandon, Lida and Taufan.

Each ticket cost us 6 bucks only! Because of some ticketing system error, we got a complimentary movie the next week!! Haha

We went to a near by noodle house to filled our stomach after the show, and we went to Selegie Soya Bean to have some dessert, on the way there we witness a fire incident..we head to Mustafa after some dessert..and.....Unfortunately bb lost his wallet either ard the area or in the cab we took home that day.. =(

Havaianas Hurts!!

BB bought me a pair of Havaianas Flip Flops recently so that i will not be in heels most of the time..but yet..the expensive yet lousy Flip Flops hurts me!! It has been a week and the pain has yet to subside!! =(

Side Note: So do i get to buy Papillo or Birkenstock??

Alright here are some reports of how Flip Flops can cause pains.

NEWTON —

Many are welcoming the warm weather by wearing flip-flop sandals — but a local doctor says that may not be the healthiest move.

The popularity of flip-flops among teens and young adults is responsible for a growing epidemic of heel pain in this population, said Newton doctor Thomas Truong, a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

“We’re seeing more heel pain than ever in patients 15 to 25 years old, a group that usually doesn’t have this problem,” Truong said. “A major contributor is wearing flip-flop sandals with paper-thin soles every day. Flip-flops have no arch support and can accentuate any abnormal biomechanics in foot motion, and this eventually brings pain and inflammation.”

Truong recommends wearing sandals with reasonably strong soles and arch support.

“Especially for girls and young women, wear thicker-soled sandals with supportive arches if you want to wear sandals most of the time and help avoid heel pain,” he said.

It’s estimated 15 percent of all adult foot complaints involve plantar fasciitis, the type of heel pain caused by chronic inflammation of the connective tissue extending from the heel bone to the toes.

Unlike sturdy shoes, flip-flops aren't good for extensive walking because they offer no arch support, heel cushioning, or shock absorption, according to the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Wearers can suffer foot pain due to lack of arch support, tendinitis, and even sprained ankles if they trip.

Many vacationers find out the hard way. They can't wait to toss aside their wingtips or pumps to lounge in flip-flops all day long. But after a few days, some want to hurl the sandals into the garbage bin.

Why? "They let your foot be as flat as they can be," Christina says. "For some people, that's OK, depending on the structure of their foot. But if you have a foot that tends to over-flatten, then you're not getting any support.

"If [vacationers] are at the beach or Disney World and they're walking in flip-flops for days on end with no support, it's very common to see arch and heel pain," he says.

The Marina Barrage was officially opened last Friday, together with the launch of the annual Clean and Green Singapore. The new Marina Barrage is a 350-meter wide dam built across the Marina channel, forming Singapore’s first reservoir in the city and our 15th reservoir with a catchment area of one-sixth the size of Singapore.

Welcome 2009!!

Went to bb house after IP Man..Rested awhile then we head down to esplanade to watch Fire Works!! By da time we reached the whole place was packed like hell!! We have no choose but to stand beside the road to watch.. I would say the Fire Works is LOUSY!! Abt 3 min nia..and the middle part also a few Fire Works only..Not Fantastic at all..I would prefer the Fire Works Event in Aug 08..lolx

New Year Eve!!

Went to Parklane Shopping Centre to pay for my Boss's maid air ticket back to SG..zzz
Meet Chin Heng at PS as he went and "repair" his less than 1 week Omnia..haha..then he suggested Aston for lunch..

TaaaDaa!! Guess wat the Queue for Aston is sooooooooooooooooo Looooooooonggg..but guess luck is with us..first in the queue was ZhiPeng! (he is having lunch with Xiong and Melvin) Muhahahah..and we conveniently "jump" de queue and joined their table!! hehe..

Xiong & Peng bought 4.30pm IP Man movie tixs..so they hang around the area after Aston while i just stick to them while waiting for bb as we have no other programs in mind..

I finally got to see my bb when he reached at 3.30pm..we decided to watch IP Man with Xiong & Peng as we have no other programs..we got the lower seats..but we are watching at Grand Cathay!! Big Big Screen!! (sounded abit Sua Ku..haha)oh..the movie was Great!! Nice movie!! Donnie Yen so cool!! I love his cute son too!! Haha!
